The Marches Local Enterprise Partnership is looking for a private sector Chair to help guide the next phase of its work to deliver economic growth and job creation across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.
The current Chair, Mandy Thorn MBE DL, will step down after a five year term in Spring 2023, with the new chair taking on a six month handover role following Board approval in Autumn 2022.
The Marches LEP has established a first-class public/private partnership that approaches business growth and local regeneration in a positive and commercial manner. We are looking for a Chair who will contribute to this.
Your fresh ideas will help us navigate the current period of change as government focuses on delivering the levelling up agenda and devolution deals.
We need a person with strong business acumen and political astuteness who will be happy and comfortable representing the Marches LEP at a range of events; this would include discussions with Government Ministers, ensuring that rural issues are understood and that the Marches gets its fair share of funding.
