About the project

This £386k project was awarded £200k from the Local Growth Fund in 2020 to expand and enhance training facilities for the Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering and Automotive industries.

The investment is supporting the construction of a new bespoke automotive engineering training centre, the modification and specialisation of the existing workshops and specialist training equipment.

The project aims to deliver 48 apprenticeships, 46 Level 3 qualifications, 16 Level 4 qualifications and will see more than 600m² of training space created in the new centre and a further improvement to 400m² of existing facilities.
