This project concentrates on improving road capacity in Telford & Wrekin to be capable of coping with anticipated increases in traffic levels as a result of significant inward investment, and also on-site infrastructure to open up housing and employment sites.
The development sites are Muxton, Shawbirch and Hortonwood and the scheme addresses a number of pinch points on roads which are hindering growth.
The package also includes sustainable travel measures to encourage cycling.
It aims to create 5,369 jobs and bringing forward 2,845 new houses across the Telford & Wrekin Council area.
The investment provides significant economic benefits providing a benefit cost ratio of 6.5, that is, for every £1 invested this provides a return to the economy of £6.50.
