Grants available for energy efficiency measures
Organisations are being invited to learn more about new schemes which will offer grants for energy efficiency measures and business support at an event in Telford.
The briefing at the Marches Growth Hub, Telford, on April 14 will focus on how the recently launched Business Energy Efficiency Programme (BEEP) and the Built Environment Climate Change Innovations project (BECCI) can support businesses in the Marches region.
The briefing, at the hub’s base at the University of Wolverhampton Campus, in Priorslee, will start at 11am and include a networking lunch.
Marches LEP Deputy Chair Mandy Thorn, who is also Chair of the Shropshire Business Board, will give the opening address. Gary Spence, the Marches EU ERDF Technical Assistance Officer will outline European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) opportunities coming up in June 2016.
And the University of Wolverhampton’s Glenn Barrowman will also lead a session outlining how the BECCI project can provide advice and guidance to the businesses that are behind future low carbon innovations and identify mechanisms where these products can be adopted within the industry.
Mrs Thorn said: “This is an event that will outline some important funding streams and support programmes that can help businesses bring about real change.
“There’ll also be the opportunity to hear from the managing director of a renewable energy specialist about how the BECCI project has helped grow his business through these challenging economic times.”
