ELIGIBLE BUSINESSES CAN ACCESS FREE SKILLS SUPPORT FOR EMPLOYEES
The Skills Support for the Workforce project is a FREE offering targeting employers within the Marches area (Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin) which employ fewer than 250 staff.
The project is designed to increase & support the participation of employed adults over the age of 19 to enhance their skills and become more successful in the labour market, advance their career prospects, and therefore reduce the risk of long term unemployment.
It provides local training that meets the requirements identified by the Marches LEP research
If your business in one of the following sectors then this is for you:
- Food and Drink Production and Processing including Land base
- Advanced Manufacturing
- Environmental Technologies
- Tourism and Leisure
- Defence and Securities (Inc ICT Technologies) and Social Enterprise
- Construction
- Wholesale and Retail
- Health and Social Care
- Business and Professional Services
- Leadership and Management
Higher level skills training is available that respond to your needs as well as assistance with:
- Progression from Level 2 to Level 3
- Increase English and Maths levels
- Engage with you to promote Apprenticeships
- Support Learners with Learning Difficulties or Disabilities & vulnerable adults within the workplace
