Marches Careers Hub

The Marches Careers Hub is part of a UK network of careers hubs announced by the Department for Education and The Careers & Enterprise Company, being delivered in Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin by the Marches LEP.

The Marches Careers Hub includes local schools and colleges working together with local employers, universities and training providers and its aim is to create better career outcomes for young people.

We are currently developing a dedicated website for the Marches Careers Hub, but until then, relevant information will be posted within this section of the Marches LEP website.

Hub Provider Access Policy

The Careers & Enterprise Company (CEC) ( was set up by government in 2015 to inspire and prepare young people for the fast-changing world of work. Their role is to be the national network that connects schools and colleges, employers and careers programme providers to create high-impact careers opportunities for young people.

Enterprise Co-ordinator Vacancy

(Full/part time, c£27k p.a. pro rata)

The Marches Careers Hub, (funded by the Careers & Enterprise Company, local authority partners and the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP)) works with schools and colleges across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin.  We help young people to find their best next step and also highlight the wealth of careers opportunities across the Marches.

Owing to the expansion and consolidation of the Marches Careers Hub, we are seeking a full/part-time Enterprise Co-ordinator to join our dispersed team.

The Enterprise Co-ordinator sits at the heart of a local network of Enterprise Advisers.  These business volunteers work with the senior leadership teams of schools and colleges to improve their careers and enterprise programmes and encourage school/business engagement.


Employed by a local authority partner but working closely with the Marches Careers Hub Lead, within the Marches Local Enterprise Partnership team, the Enterprise Co-ordinator will promote good practice in the strategic delivery of careers education.  This includes encouraging the professional development of Careers Leaders in schools and colleges, supporting institutions in achieving the Gatsby benchmarks and working with stakeholders to promote
