Beth Heath joined The Marches LEP board in February 2021 after being appointed chair of the Shropshire Business Board.
About Beth Heath
Beth runs an award-winning events company, successful marketing agency, as well as lecturing at University Centre Shrewsbury on Events Management and chairing Visit Shropshire – the region’s destination management organisation.
Beth’s career has always centred around agritourism, the local food and drink industry and events. Since attending Harper Adams University in Shropshire, Beth has made the county her home. Local food businesses have always been at the heart of her career. She began working for a local farm shop before starting Shropshire first farmer’s market and running her own hamper company.
Beth was Operational Director at Ludlow Food Festival for eight years – during which time she launched the Shrewsbury Food Festival to celebrate the local food and drink producers in the area. She went on to launch several more major festivals under the Shropshire Festivals label, including Shropshire Oktoberfest and Shropshire Kids Festival – which collectively attract over 90,000 visitors to the region annually.
Beth offers event consultancy support from kids trails at local attractions to huge corporate conferences. Beth also runs Shropshire ThinkTank, a PR, marketing and design firm that generates creative results for a variety of local businesses, as well as sitting on the Shrewsbury Tourism Board.
