Social Enterprise

Social enterprise is a dynamic and sustainable business model of choice which is growing in the Marches, able to bring social, economic and environmental benefits across all sectors of the economy.

Across Herefordshire, Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, there are many new and established enterprises generating profits from their work, from larger high profile enterprises such as farm diversifications and community interest companies,  to smaller enterprises such as community cafes, after-school projects, training and employment skills providers, and specialist health care services projects.

Working alongside the LEP and the local authorities in supporting social enterprises are organisations including the Community Council of Shropshire, Hereford-based Midwest Rural Enterprise CIC and Social Enterprise West Midlands.
